Kenyan Canadian Association - KCA is a federal not-for-profit organization that seeks to address the issues affecting marginalized Canadians especially those of Kenyan origin, the black communities and visible minorities while assisting newcomers to settle and make a positive contribution in the society as they endeavor to achieve their goals.

KCA also focuses on implementing programs and specifically offering services to newcomers, low-income families, racialized and socially-excluded groups residing in Canada to improve their personal well-being and social-economic status.

KCA works collaboratively with organizations and stakeholders through our grassroot network across the country.

 

KCA holds a Fair & Workshop for Recent Newcomers in the Greater Toronto Area

Toronto, Canada - October 22, 2022

Kenyan Canadian Association (KCA) held a well-attended Newcomers Fair & Workshop on October 22, 2022 through Newcomers & Settlement Program.

The event took place at Istar Banquet Hall in Etobicoke with two workshops sessions on Employment Counselling facilitated by Helen Ford Gordon from Black Cap and Immigration & Legal issues facilitated by Counsel Joshua Makori from JM Law Professional Corporation.

KCA Partners with Tea Board of Kenya (TBK) for B2B Engagement Meetings with Tea Stakeholders in Canada

Toronto, Canada - October 10, 2022

Kenyan Canadian Association (KCA) partnered with Tea Board of Kenya (TBK) for a series of B2B engagement meetings with Tea stakeholders and visits to retail stores in Canada. The B2B engagement meetings and visits to various retail stores took place on October 1, 2022 in Ontario, Canada. The Tea Board of Kenya delegation included CEO Ms. Peris Mudida, Director representing West of Rift Valley Mr. Kennedy Kaburi, Director representing East of Rift Valley Ms. Florence Nkatha and Assistant Director Market Development & Trade Advisory Mr. David Muriuki. The team was accompanied by Kenya High Commissioner to Canada H.E. Amb. Immaculate Wambua.

Government of Canada Announces Funding to Remove Barriers and Improve Inclusivity in Canadian Sport

Toronto, Canada - October 6, 2022

The Government of Canada has announced funding to remove barriers and improve inclusivity in sport in Canada! The announcement was made by Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Health and to the Minister of Sport, Hon. Adam van Koeverden. “Sport is a catalyst to a healthy and happy lifestyle. Opportunities that lead to healthy bodies and minds should be available for everyone. We are committed to supporting initiatives that will help us realize our goal of a more inclusive Canadian sport system that benefits everyone.” he said.
